Historical Photo Colorization

I worked with a local historian in Playa del Rey, California, to bring a series of archival photographs back to life through manual colorization.

Each image was colorized entirely by hand in Photoshop, without AI-generated colorization. The process involved carefully building color, tone, depth, and detail while preserving the character of the original photograph and creating a result that felt natural rather than overly processed.

Forged Flare® Image Editing

Using photography, compositing, and image editing to create campaign-ready brand imagery.

Beyond traditional product photography, I transform original Forged Flare® photography into finished creative for advertising, social media, email, website content, and marketplace listings. This often includes background removal, compositing, color correction, lighting adjustments, environmental placement, and other enhancements needed to adapt imagery across channels.

To expand the Forged Flare® lifestyle photography library, I directed a remote shoot with a professional photographer in Connecticut while managing the project from Texas. I selected and shipped products, established the visual direction, and provided creative feedback throughout the shoot.

Because many of the products are given between mothers and daughters, I specifically wanted real mother-and-daughter models so the imagery would feel warm and authentic rather than overly staged. I also secured commercial usage rights from the models so the finished photography could be used across marketing channels.

Photography Across the Customer Journey

Photography doesn't end with the finished image — it becomes part of the larger brand experience.

Photography is rarely created for a single use. I plan and edit imagery with the larger customer journey in mind, adapting assets for e-commerce, email, social media, advertising, marketplace listings, editorial content, and other brand touchpoints.
